In-Store Selection

Choosing eyewear should feel personal, comfortable, and thoughtfully guided. Our In-Store Selection appointments are designed to give you the time and professional support needed to explore frames and lenses with confidence.

At Blink Eyewear, we curate a collection of independent eyewear brands known for thoughtful design, quality materials, and lasting comfort. During your visit, we guide you through frame shapes, colours, and materials while discussing lens options that support both your prescription and your lifestyle.

Whether you are selecting everyday prescription glasses, exploring new styles, or considering prescription sunwear, our goal is to help you find eyewear that feels natural, comfortable, and distinctly yours.

Why Booking an Appointment Matters

Eyewear is highly individual. Face shape, prescription strength, lens thickness, and daily visual demands all influence which frames and lenses will work best.

Booking an appointment ensures we can dedicate the time needed to properly guide you through frame styling, lens design, and measurement considerations. It also allows us to prepare for your visit so you can compare options comfortably without feeling rushed.

Appointments are relaxed and collaborative. We take the time to understand how you use your eyewear day to day so we can recommend frames and lenses designed for long-term comfort, durability, and clarity.

Lens Design & Optical Options

Prescription eyewear is far more than choosing a frame. Lens design, materials, and sun protection options all influence how your glasses perform.

During your appointment we may discuss options such as:

Lens Types

• Single vision lenses
• Progressive lenses
• Reading glasses
• Bifocals and trifocals
• Occupational and specialty lenses
• Double bifocal lenses used in specialized applications such as aviation

Lens Materials & Thickness

• Standard plastic lenses
• High-index lenses for stronger prescriptions
• Thinner and lighter lens materials for improved comfort and appearance
• Traditional optical glass lenses, which remain available for certain prescriptions and applications

Sun & Light Protection

• Polarized lenses
• Prescription sunglasses
• Custom lens tints
• Photochromic lenses (Transitions®)

Selecting the right lens design is just as important as choosing the right frame. Prescription lenses are manufactured in specialized optical laboratories and custom produced for each individual prescription and frame combination.

Why Measurements Matter

Modern prescription lenses are custom manufactured for each individual prescription and frame combination. In addition to your prescription, precise measurements are required to ensure your lenses perform properly once placed in the frame.

These measurements may include factors such as pupil distance, optical center positioning, frame fit, and how the frame sits on your face. Even small differences in these measurements can influence clarity, comfort, and how naturally your eyes adapt to new lenses.

Proper measurements and professional dispensing are particularly important for advanced lens designs such as progressive lenses and higher prescriptions.

During your appointment, we take these measurements while the frame is properly fitted on your face to help ensure your lenses are designed specifically for the way you wear your eyewear.

What Your Appointment May Include

• Personalized frame styling and guidance
• Exploring both optical frames and sunglasses
• Discussion of prescription lens designs and materials
• Professional measurements and fitting considerations
• Reviewing frames you may already own

If you already have frames you love, we can also assess whether they are suitable for new prescription lenses through our Refurbish & Revitalize service.

Choosing the Right Appointment

When booking online, you may see two styling appointment options.

In-Store Selection
Best for prescription glasses, everyday eyewear, or exploring new frames.

Sunglasses Selection
Ideal if you are primarily looking for sunglasses or prescription sunwear.

If you would like to explore both optical frames and sunglasses during your visit, booking an In-Store Selection appointment is the best choice.

If your eyewear simply needs tightening, alignment, or small repairs, you may prefer booking an Adjustments & Minor Repairs appointment instead.
